Awning Window
Replacement & Installation

Awning windows are designed to bring fresh air into your home while providing protection from the elements.

Hinged at the top and opening outward from the bottom, awning windows allow for ventilation even during light rain. Their compact design makes them a popular choice for bathrooms, basements, kitchens, and other areas where airflow and privacy are important.

Whether installed on their own or paired with larger windows, awning windows offer a practical solution for improving comfort and ventilation throughout your home.

Why Homeowners Choose Awning Windows

Awning windows are a popular choice for homeowners looking to add ventilation to spaces where traditional window styles may not be practical.

Excellent Ventilation: Open the window to bring fresh air into your home while maintaining privacy and comfort.

Weather Protection: The outward-opening design can help keep light rain out while the window is open.

Great for Smaller Spaces: A popular choice for bathrooms, basements, laundry rooms, and other compact areas.

Energy Efficiency: When closed, awning windows create a tight seal that helps reduce drafts and improve comfort.

Versatile Design: Often used on their own or combined with larger window styles to create a custom look.

Easy Operation: Simple hardware and smooth operation make everyday use convenient.

Our Process

Our Window Replacement and Installation Process

Michigan winters don't forgive failing seals or poor installs, and if you've already tried getting this fixed once, you know how frustrating it is to deal with contractors who show up late, skip the details, or leave you hanging mid-job.

It doesn't have to be like that.

STEP 1: Free Consultation

An experienced technician comes to your home, evaluates your windows, takes measurements, and walks you through your options, no pressure. Most consultations take less than an hour. We'll talk through your goals (energy efficiency, aesthetics, budget) and give you our honest take. That includes telling you when a less expensive option makes just as much sense as a premium one.

Step 2: Custom Order & Timeline

All windows are made to fit your exact measurements, nothing off a shelf, so windows typically take 4–6 weeks. We'll send you an update when they're ordered and again once we have a ship date, so we can lock in your install day.

Step 3: Installation Day

Before we touch anything, we protect your floors, furniture, and landscaping using drop cloths, runners, plastic sheeting, and boot covers.

Then we remove the old units, inspect the opening for rot or moisture damage, and install your new windows with proper sealing and insulation.

After that, we trim and seal inside and out, clean up completely, and do a walk-through with you before we leave, and we take all the debris with us.

When Should You Replace Your Awning Windows?

Like any window, awning windows can lose efficiency and become more difficult to operate as they age.

Common signs it may be time for replacement include:

  • Difficulty opening or closing the window
  • Worn or damaged hardware
  • Drafts around the frame
  • Condensation between panes of glass
  • Water intrusion around the window
  • Rising heating and cooling costs
  • Visible signs of wear or deterioration

Replacing aging awning windows can improve ventilation, comfort, and energy efficiency while helping your home perform better throughout the year.
