Lake Michigan Window & Door was started in 2023 by people who actually install windows and doors for a living. People who know exactly what a good job looks like, what a bad one looks like, and every step in between.
We kept seeing the same thing over and over: homeowners paying good money only to end up disappointed. Not because the products were bad, but because nobody was paying attention to how they were being put in. The person who sold you the window usually had no idea what actually happens during installation. And the person doing the install? Often a subcontractor more interested in speed than quality. That didn't sit right with us. So we built something different.

A good knowledgeable and hardworking team led by Austin removed our funky old slider and installed the new one in about five hours. There were many eccentricities about the house and the previous installations. The result is very nice.

We couldn’t be happier with our experience with Lake Michigan Window & Door! They did a phenomenal job from start to finish. They were extremely professional, responsive, and communicative throughout the entire process of our large project.
We had 15 full-frame windows replaced, and a sliding glass door replaced. We also had an existing window converted into a sliding glass door, and enlarged the kitchen window opening (all Andersen 100 series).
Everything was done with a high level of professionalism and craftsmanship. The finished product turned out beautifully, and our new home has been massively upgraded! We would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for new windows or doors!

Leading up to our installations, they kept us updated the whole time. We had three exterior doors replacement at the same time. Two entrance doors and a 6' slider. Luke and Austin were FANTASTIC. They had all three doors in on the first day. 2nd day was just trim and adjustments. I am super happy with my decision to use Lake Michigan Window and Doors.
SIDE NOTE:: it was 85° the day they came to do the work, they never once complained about the heat. I'm also pretty certain they never even took a lunch. I will recommend this company to anyone I know who needs their services.

Highly recommend. Nick and Josh were amazing. The week we had our windows done was a chaotic week in our house. Starts with my daughter having band camp. The weekend before we had our windows done, I lost my nephew due to an accident. And I'm in perimenopause. I say these three things because these gentlemen were so kind and patient through all of this. They made sure to do the things they could around our house schedule. My husband sleeps during the day because he works third shift. One of the days they came I sleeping on the couch because that's where I found comfort. They worked around me. And was so quiet, I slept through our living room picture window being installed. I would highly recommend this company and will work with them again on whatever needs they can fill for our household.

Every interaction from start to finish was amazing. Everyone we had to speak to was super friendly and knowledgable, and no one tried to pressure us into anything we didn’t want or need. There was a mistake in some sizing so they have to come back out and fix it, but they took full responsibility and apologized profusely. I am looking for an excuse to have more work done because they’re awesome! Austin deserves a raise!

I highly recommend Lake Michigan Windows. In my 3 year old house I have a wall of 9 windows, and 5 of them leaked. Since the builder conveniently went out of business, I had no recourse other than arranging a repair/ replacement. Everyone I worked with at LMW was knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. They work incredibly hard with minimal breaks, clean up as they go, and are absolute perfectionists with every detail. They moved and covered the furniture and floor before they started, and vacuumed and washed the floor before moving the furniture back in place. They replaced and painted all new trim and touched up the wall. They work closely as a team and are fun to be around! The new wall of windows looks and functions so much better I'm considering replacing other, non-leaking windows. Give Lake Michigan windows a call - you will not regret it!

I went to the Kalamazoo Home Show in February looking for a company to replace all the windows and a slider in my home. I spoke with numerous companies there but Hunter at Lake Michigan Windows and Doors stuck out the most. He was very informative with their replacement process and answered all my questions. After several estimates I decided to go with his company and am very happy I did. The process was pretty simply, with final measurements and scheduling happening quickly. The windows were installed last week and I am so happy with the results. The team Installing them were great and very considerate. We found Lake Michigan Window and Door and couldn’t be happier with the whole process. We have a park model and worries we wouldn’t be able to find a replacement door, it is very narrow. From start to finish was only a month, consultation to installation. The whole crew did a great job and were very respectful of our place. Would 100% recommend for any project.

If you’re looking for a great front door, don’t look any further than Lake Michigan window and door. I had installers Austin and Luke put in my door and it looks fabulous. They are very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions and went over the door before leaving and reassured me that they were only a phone call away. The door adds Curb appeal whether you’re trying to sell your house or just update it like I did. I left the insides- frame raw so I could sand and Stain it. They even installed my new Blink video doorbell.

Hunter and his team knocked our simple project out of the park. Even though they only replaced one entry door for us, they worked and treated us as if we bought a house full of windows. Very happy with the quality of the product and the install couldn't have been done better.

The crue that came to my house were very courteous and friendly. Zack, Hunter, Austin, Nick, and Josh worked very well together. They were one of the most honest, down to earth people that I have ever met. The quality of their work was impeccable. This company never pressured me. They gave me their honest opinion on different quality doors along with the price and quality of the product. As far as I'm concerned, even the so called less expensive door was by far quality. I would recommend this company to anyone.

We had a new storm door installed and couldn’t be happier. The team let us know when they would arrive and were very prompt. The installation went smoothly and the finished product is beautiful. They also gave us a comprehensive explanation of the door mechanism and made sure it was set to our preference. I am extremely pleased with our entire experience with Lake Michigan Window and Door from start to finish. While getting the initial quote, we were pleased with the number of options, their ability to do some specific custom work we hoped for, their competitive pricing on high end windows, and the thorough explanation of each question we had. During install, the entire crew was overly respectful of our home and family as we worked from home. Each team member conducted themselves with professionalism. The quality of work is spot on and the finished project looks amazing thanks to their attention to detail and craftsmanship! Our house threw a couple of curve balls, as many homes do during renovations, and the team communicated updates and followed through exceptionally well to make sure we were taken care of- even calling after the install was complete to make sure we were pleased with the work. I have absolutely no complaints! I would recommend or hire Lake Michigan Window and Door again without a second thought!

We recently had Lake Michigan Window and Door install both doors and windows in our home, and we couldn’t be happier with the entire experience. Our window project was unusually complex, but their team handled every challenge with exceptional expertise and professionalism.
From the beginning, they took the time to walk us through several options and help us make the best decisions for our home. Their attention to detail (which is important to us) and commitment to outstanding customer service really set them apart – every question was answered, every concern addressed, and we never once felt rushed.
We have in the past used other window and door products, so we were able to make a direct comparison when evaluating ProVia. The difference has been remarkable. Not only is the overall ProVia product quality exceptional, but the screens are significantly easier to use – smooth, intuitive, and far more practical for everyday living. And we like the look better than the traditional screen!
Something to note - the doors arrived damaged and Lake Michigan Windows took immediate action to correct the issue going as far as to drive 6 hours to ensure on time delivery of the product. We recently had Lake Michigan Window & Door replace 17 windows and one french door with the Provia line of replacement windows and patio door and we couldnt be happier with the entire pprocess. From the first phone call to Josh until the final day of installation and clean up the project was seamless. Josh came to our home and without any pressure sales tactics explained there product the process and time line with complete honesty. The price was very competitive with the other 3 bids I recieved but it was the quality of window and the straight forward no BS approach that sold me on Lake Michigan Windows. We set a date for our installation and a time frame for how long it would take and everything was completed on schedule. Hunter, Adam, and Zach did an outstanding job with the installation. There experience with window replacement installation showed as well as there proffesionalism. I highly recommend Lake Michigan Window & Door and without hesitation will use them again in the future.

Hunter, from Lake Michigan Window and Door came to our house to give us a FREE estimate. We need new sliding glass doors and I wanted fancier and upgraded. The price is fantastic! I was worried about the UV index percentage because we have a lot of house plants throughout our home - these babies are thriving!! We had our windows done January 2024 and I’ve sanded, stained, and sealed them. And it has made me look at my home so much differently!
